Divorce and Separation
Ontario law allows divorce based on one-year separation, adultery, or cruelty. Most divorces follow a separation agreement outlining how spouses live apart. After one year of separation, parties may proceed with an uncontested divorce.
Division of Property and Assets
Property division under Ontario’s Family Law Act involves identifying, valuing, and fairly dividing assets and debts. Courts consider contributions, financial circumstances, and fairness when resolving disputes over property and asset equalization.
Parenting Time, Decision-Making Responsibility and Contact
Parenting arrangements are guided by the best interests of the child under Ontario law. Factors include the child’s needs, relationships, and family circumstances. Each plan is tailored to support stability, consistency, and parental involvement.
Child Support
Child support is determined using the federal Child Support Guidelines, based on income and number of children. Support amounts may be negotiated or ordered by the court and can be adjusted if financial circumstances change.
Spousal Support
Spousal support is assessed using advisory guidelines that consider factors such as marriage length, income disparity, and financial need. These guidelines provide ranges, allowing flexibility through negotiation or court determination.
Legal Guidance
Family law matters can be complex and emotionally challenging. Practical legal guidance helps clients understand their rights, obligations, and options, supporting informed decision-making at every stage of the process.

Vahid Yeganeh
Vahid Yeganeh is a founding partner at Englobe Law LLP, where he brings over a decade of international experience and a reputation for handling complex, high-stakes matters. Licensed in both Ontario and Iran, he combines strategic precision, courtroom skill, and cross-border insight to guide clients through disputes that often sit at the intersection of law, business, and human judgment.
Vahid began his legal career in 2013 in Iran, focusing on criminal cases with financial dimensions, including white-collar and corporate crime. He represented clients in some of the country’s largest and most consequential prosecutions, including a landmark case exceeding €2 billion in value. His early experience with complex investigations involving fraud, embezzlement, and financial misconduct shaped the rigorous and analytical style that defines his defence work today. In Canada, he continues to apply that discipline to protecting clients’ rights and reputations in sensitive and high-stakes criminal matters.
Vahid also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, having represented companies across industries such as energy, construction, real estate, and petrochemicals in contractual, shareholder, and cross-border disputes. Alongside his litigation practice, he has developed a solid foundation in corporate and transactional law, advising businesses on governance, compliance, and commercial contracts. During his employment as a legal advisor at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), he worked on a wide range of commercial contract issues, further strengthening his practical understanding of institutional and business operations.
Since immigrating to Canada, Vahid has also developed a robust practice in immigration litigation, representing clients before the Federal Court of Canada in judicial review and mandamus applications. He has successfully challenged visa refusals and prolonged processing delays, securing numerous positive outcomes. His earlier experience working on cases before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario deepened his understanding of procedural fairness and administrative decision-making — principles that form the foundation of immigration law.
Vahid holds a Ph.D. (ABD) in Oil and Gas Law from Shahid Beheshti University, an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, an M.A. in International Business Law, and an LL.B. in Civil Law.
In addition to English, Vahid is fluent in Farsi and Azeri, with a working understanding of Turkish, allowing him to serve clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds with clarity and care.
